Ultra Calcium Tablets

Ultra Calcium is a rich source of calcium, which contributes to the maintenance of healthy bones and teeth , carefully balanced with vitamin D, which contributes to the proper absorption and utilization of calcium .

Ensuring adequate calcium intake is crucial for men and women of all ages, and is especially important:

• For growing children

• During pregnancy and breastfeeding

• During and after menopause

Peak bone mass, achieved in childhood and adolescence, is important for maintaining bone later in life. The UK Department of Health recommends that people aged 65 and over take a daily supplement of 10µg of vitamin D, which is the exact level in Ultra Calcium (per two tablets).

Calcium and vitamin D contribute to the maintenance of healthy bones, teeth and muscle function . They also help reduce the loss of bone minerals in postmenopausal women . †† Low bone mineral density is a risk factor for osteoporotic bone fractures.‡

With D3, the preferred form of vitamin D

Ultra Calcium provides 20 µg of vitamin D, in the preferred form D3, which is naturally produced by our skin when exposed to sunlight. In addition to being important for maintaining normal blood calcium levels , vitamin D also contributes to the normal function of the immune system .

The vitamin D level of 20 µg contained in Ultra Calcium is within the limits recommended by the Food Standards Agency and reflects the latest research recommending increasing vitamin D intake in the population generally.

†† The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of at least 1200 mg of calcium and 20 µg of vitamin D from all sources. ‡ In women aged 50 years and over.

Recommended daily dose and method of use: ONE OR TWO TABLETS PER DAY WITH MAIN MEAL. Swallow with water or a cold drink. Do not chew. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. May be taken as long as necessary.
